One Sunday in the fall of 1999, some folks gathered at David's mom's studio in South Boston –

Bonnie provided paint and silk

While her dad provided the right mood

and they painted and painted and painted.

Then, when all the separate squares had been painted, David's mom and Bonnie cut and sewed them together.
